Pineapple Chicken Recipe

Pineapple Chicken Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
1 pack FFF Whole Chicken Legs
Salt

SAUCE:
1 cup water
1/2 cup soy sauce
5 teaspoons packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon crushed (or powdered) ginger
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
The juice from 1 can of canned pineapple
2 tablespoons cornstarch

GARNISH:
Pineapple Slices from the can of canned pineapples

DIRECTIONS:
1. Defrost the Chicken Legs. Once defrosted, place them in an oven safe tray skin side up and rub salt on the skin. Then put in the fridge for at least an hour, (This dries out the skin and makes it crispier once cooked).
2. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
3. Take the Chicken Legs out of the fridge, and place them in the oven to cook for about an hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 Degrees F.
4. While the Chicken is cooking, combine your sauce ingredients in a small saucepan, stirring constantly. After you have added all the ingredients, stir in the cornstarch until you reach the desired consistency, then set aside.
5. Once the chicken is done cooking, take out of the oven and immediately pour the sauce over the chicken, placing a slice of pineapple on top of each piece.
6. Let rest for several minutes, then serve over a bed of rice and enjoy!
