Cheesy Ham and Bacon Sliders
INGREDIENTS:
1 Pack FFF Bacon
1 Pack FFF Ham slices
1 Package soft bread rolls
2 Thinly sliced tomatoes
1/2 small diced onion
4 cloves chopped or smashed garlic
2 Tablespoons Flour
1 Cup of Milk (or Beer)
1-2 Cups Cheddar Cheese
Onion Powder
Garlic Powder
Paprika
1/2 Stick of Butter
DIRECTIONS:
1. Start your Bacon on a cold skillet or pan, and cook until crispy. Save the bacon grease from the pan and set it aside.Â
2. In the same pan, add the ham and cook until done.
3. When the ham is done, add back about 2-3 Tablespoons of the bacon grease, then add in your onion and cook until soft (about 5 minutes). Then add your garlic and cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until fragrant.
4. When the onions and garlic are done, whisk in the flour and keep cooking the onions until golden brown.Â
5. Next, slowly whisk in the milk (or beer) into your roux, and whisk consistently until it is completely incorporated.
6. Once your roux is mixed, slowly add in the cheese. Whisk consistently and be careful not to let the pan get to hot to burn anything! Mix in your spices.
7. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F, and thinly Slice your tomatoes.
8. Melt about a half stick of butter, and butter the bottom of a baking tray.
9. Slice your rolls in half, and lay them out on the baking tray. Next, layer down the Ham, then Bacon, then Tomatoes, then pour the cheese sauce over the top. Lastly, lay the top buns on top and butter the top.
10. Place the tray in the over and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the tops of the rolls get crispy.
11. Bring the sliders out of the oven and let cool, then cut them out, serve and enjoy!
